Small Town Life

This last week, I went home to Vernon for a commemorative plaque dedication to honour my father's commitment to   an at-risk youth centre called Teen Junction. The dedication was beautiful and although I did tear up a bit speaking about our Dad's kindness and perseverance, I felt so proud of his legacy and the man that he was.

My photo challenge this week was "Mother" as Mother's Day had just passed. I was able to share some quality time with both my real mom and my step-mom this week. I am so blessed to have them in my life for all their help, support and guidance.

I love Vernon. Much more low key and slower paced than Vancouver. It was nice to go for some great walks and hikes, hang out in my friend Lauren's Kindergarten class painting sets, taking photos and gardening. We grew up in the most beautiful place on earth in my opinion and it will always be home to me.
