Celebration

On May 20th, my challenge was to photograph some kind of celebration. I cheated and had someone photograph my own celebration for me! I graduated from The University of British Columbia - finally! The day was much more emotional for me than I anticipated though. My degree and graduation was so important to my dad who passed away a year ago and my stepfather who passed away several years ago now. Although I know that my mom, stepmom, siblings, friends and boyfriend are incredibly proud of me, I was very sad they were not there to share it with us. I celebrated as best I could but the day was both physically and emotionally draining. Regardless, the photos capture the day and sentiment beautifully. Bravo boyfriend!
